bolda attended the first ever ICA fair in Dubai UAE
100 exhibitors attended the first ever ICA fair in Dubai UAE in the second week of October 2008.
A Highlight of the event was the smashingly entertaining Brazilian-Australian themed Gala evening.
The show took place in one of the worst weeks in many decades for the world economy. However jewellery sales in the Gulf region are in a long term boom.
bolda 's Marketing manager Lilo Stadler has been working on the Dubai market for several years now. "It has been a difficult market to crack, there is huge demand for gold and diamonds but coloured stones are still a new and developing part of the market."
bolda's entry level jewellery collection was launched at the Jewellery counters of Carrefour Hypermarkets, the world's second largest retailer, initially at Diera City Centre and Mall of the Emirates the two largest footfalls in Dubai.
The mid to high end bolda range, featuring the 'Aquatica' designs as pictured, are available at Karina Collections boutique in the new Mall of Dubai. Silver set Boulder Opals has been drawing interest and several pieces were sold within the first week of opening.
Mrs Stadler adds "Through our local partners we have access to more than 20 outlets across the Emirates and Arabian Gulf States, the last was opening the day we left Dubai. We shall now focus on building our relationships and increasing the salespeople's and customers' knowledge of Opal."
